OA Training for PhD Students "OA4Docs"#2

After the great popularity of this online format, we are offering our training again for all interested parties who were unable to attend the first event in July. With a compact hands-on training we want to encourage especially PhD students in civil engineering, architecture and urban studies to publish their papers, conference articles and dissertations in Open Access.

For PhD students, the challenge is to comply with the requirements of the doctoral regulations and, at the same time, to find a suitable, highly visible publication venue that also ensures permanent proof of electronic publication. Open Access publication helps to increase the visibility and citation of researchers and also ensures free, fast and permanent access to research results and, ideally, the associated research data.

In 90 minutes, we will inform you about possibilities for funding OA publications and which quality criteria you can use to identify a suitable journal. No previous knowledge is necessary.

We offer the workshop as a virtual event on two dates for your choice:

• Thursday, 29.09.2022 (14:00-15:30 pm) or
• Friday, 30.09.2022 (09:00-10:30 am)

Bring your writing project!

In practical applications, you will learn to find the appropriate OA journal for your current or planned writing project and to select suitable free licenses for subsequent use.

Final Notes:  Participation is free of charge. You will receive the login details and further information after the registration deadline on 25.09.2022. The event will be held in German. Please let us know if you would like an event in English.
